Finally I have something finished! I was busy doing a couple of projects until i bought the new Just Cross Stitch mag for this month and I fell totally in love with the Though far apart design and thought it was the perfect gift for my Aunt fran.I have missed her alot since we have moved out of Ontario last fall so it will be a great little giftie for her and I hope it will brighten up her day.

I used my own colours,I seem to always do that lately.I ordered some beautiful Simply Shaker threads from The Gentle Art and I LOVE them.

For the pink,cause who doesn't love pink houses? I used the Rhubarb ( I think this is my very favourite) for the lettering I used Freedom.The green is Green Pasture and the gold is Mustard Seed.

Got to get a frame on the weekend and get this sent asap.

Hope you are all doing good..I can't wait to get back to my other project,I don't care for stitching a million things at once.i don't seem to get any of them done then lol.

Another Blackbird project finished! I used my own colours for this one.

I fell in love with fabric awhile ago and I bought enough to make some blinds for my bedroom.I decided all the Blackbird projects I do are going on my bedroom wall so I thought I would match the colours some what to the fabric.I really should get the sewing done but all I seem to want to do lately is stitch.I'm sure ya'll understand what I'm saying lol.

used some kind of linen I had for I don't know how long..regular DMC floss except for the purple border,I used Weeks Dye Works colour called Mulberry

this is the Beatrix potter WIP I've been working on now and again.I stopped it for awhile because I was just not feeling the love for the DMC Linen and then I wasn't sure if I should go with just one colour.But the thought of starting all over again...I'm glad I just put it away for a little bit because now I'm happy with it again.The actual chart is really beautiful and I love doing every spot.


I treated myself to a couple of charts.I also bought my linen on the weekend at the fabric store.They were having a huge close out sale so I got it for a amazing price.I should have enough linen for the year if not more,and if I get bored with the colour of it I will just dye it up.

I really wanted to make the family cross stitch stocking this year but my daughter told me today she wasn't too fussy with the Shepherd's Bush stocking pattern (can you imagine?) so if anyone wants to trade with me for a different pattern I'm all for it.

• decorating! I'm always changing things around in my house.love getting decorating books from the library and finding new ideas.


• Staying healthy.Eating right and staying away from junk food.Oh how I ♥ junk food.Chips,dips,chocolate,you name it! I had a heart attack after my 42nd birthday so keeping healthy is a obsession for sure.


• Being creative.I always have a craft on the go.I either am stitching,sewing,quilting,crocheting,knitting...and so on.I've been that way since I was a child.


• I am really into history..and learning.I hated school and I thought I knew everything now that I know the difference I love to learn.Right now in history I am learning about the Tudors history.


• Nature.Can that be a addiction? I am most happy being outdoors in nature with the birds and the trees.I am at my happiest when I'm outdoors.
